Marbled Murrelet Habitat in Olympic National Park, Washington

In my masters, I was trained in both ArcGIS Pro and QGIS. For this project, I practiced stylizing a map representing critical habitat for the marbled murrelet within Olympic National Park, Washington. The marbled murrelet is an endangered, migratory seabird. Its biggest threat to their survival and recovery is nesting habitat loss, primarily through logging. While this map does not demonstrate my current knowledge of cartographic principles, including the importance of visual hierarchy and other cartographic conventions (it is humbling reviewing past maps!), gaining more experience with an open-source GIS software was beneficial.
